WWE Superstar Billy Graham Story

It has sadly been confirmed that WWE legend Superstar Billy Graham has passed away at the age of 79.

The news was first broken by wrestling icon Ric Flair who took to social media to say “The Superstar Billy Graham Just Left Us. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR INFLUENCE On My Career!”

Billy Graham had spent over four months in the hospital dealing with a number of health issues including a major infection in his ears and skull that may take six months of intravenous IVs, congestive heart failure, diabetes, and hearing loss as a result of the infection among other ailments.

It was recently reported that Billy Graham was on life support and sadly he has now passed away.

Superstar Billy Graham was a professional wrestling icon who inspired legends such as Hulk Hogan through his dominant performances in the 1970s and 80s. Throughout his career, he worked across various NWA territories including Championship Wrestling From Florida where he would become a two-time NWA Florida Heavyweight Champion.

But, his most notable time in his career came as part of the WWE (then WWWF and later WWF) where he would become the sixth wrestler to hold the WWWF Championship, having beaten Bruno Sammartino in 1977 and holding the championship for 296 days.

Billy Graham would retire from wrestling in 1988 and was then inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004 by Triple H. Unfortunately, he later had to sell his Hall of Fame ring to pay for anti-rejection medication after having a liver transplant.
