AEW: Thunder Rosa FINALLY wins Women’s Championship
One year ago on March 17th, 2021, Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker became the first women to main event AEW Dynamite in an intense Unsanctioned Lights Out match which Rosa won.
Since then, their rivalry has been a constant on TV, with Thunder Rosa always coming up short and failing to capture the Women’s Championship from Britt Baker throughout her 290-day reign.
On the recent episode of AEW Dynamite to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Thunder Rosa challenged Britt Baker to a cage match for the championship and has finally won the title, marking her first reign and first championship win in the company.
The match was very intense, with numerous chair spots and thumbtacks even coming into play. But in the end, Thunder Rosa came out on top in one of the most highly anticipated moments in AEW history.
