Rust is one of the most popular survival games since it was first released on PC back in 2018. Double Eleven finally brought Rust to console with a PS4 and Xbox One release in 2021.

Will Rust Console Edition come to the Nintendo Switch?

At the moment, there is no word on whether Rust Console Edition will be making the jump to Nintendo’s Switch consoles.

Rust Console Edition was finally released on PS4 and Xbox One in 2021 after having missed its original 2020 release window.

There, sadly, hasn’t been any mention of the Nintendo Switch from Double Eleven but this doesn’t mean we should rule it out.

The Switch is slowly becoming home to more “non-Nintendo” titles and after Vigor found limited success on the platform a title like Rust could do well if handled correctly.

If anything, you feel like it might perform better on Nintendo Switch consoles due to name recognition.

Rust Console Edition made its way onto PS4 and Xbox One following its immense success on PC in 2018, with the game currently having over 600,000 reviews on Steam.

Despite releasing on PS4 and Xbox One, Double Eleven hasn’t made any official announcement regarding a Nintendo Switch port, and it is possible that the console simply isn’t powerful enough to run Rust.
