Valheim Roadmap For 2021 Revealed

Valheim has taken the gaming world by storm over the last couple of weeks. Already amassing over 1 million sales on Steam and peaking at an all-time high of 346,000 concurrent players, it is safe to say that the game is a hit with players.

But Iron Gate aren’t resting of their laurels just yet, they still have a lot of things planned for Valheim in 2021 as they have released the roadmap for the upcoming year.

Valheim 2021 Roadmap

The roadmap has been revealed and here is everything you can expect to see.

It seems we will be getting four new updates throughout 2021, so an average of one every 2.5 months if they’re evenly spaced out. Its unclear what the first three will be as we only have named. These could be content updates, such as adding more ship options to the game, or could be story elements that add new quests and bosses.

In the fourth update, which should be towards the backend of the year, we will see the first new biome come to the game called Mistlands.

There also appears to be a lot more smaller content updates coming throughout the year which are listed below. These will likely be bundled in with the four named updates above.

Iron Gate looks to be going all in with Valheim, and after the success its already had we can’t blame them.

Platforms

Valheim is available now on Steam and is compatible with Windows and Linux, a Mac version may be released in the future.

At this time there is no plans for a console version.
