Ok, so we are heading into this month lightly with our best horror movies on Netflix for March 2023. But, Tremors is an absolute classic, and if you haven’t seen any of the Tremors movies, then you really should! They’re not too heavy, but they pack a few jump-scare moments!

For those who don’t know, Tremors is centered around Graboids. The Graboids move underground to attack anything and everything in their path by detecting vibrations from movements before rising to the surface to eat their victim. And these Graboids are big! Really big! You wouldn’t want to come face-to-face with one that’s for sure.

Unlike the original Tremors starring Kevin Bacon, Tremors 2 The Aftershocks sees the return of his partner, Earl Bassett (Fred Ward). Earl moved away after the initial Tremors victory to spend his fortune made by destroying Graboids on an Ostrich Farm as you do… but is now approached to save the day again after the Graboids return to attack oil workers in Chiapas, Mexico. Only this time, the Graboids are more powerful than before.

With a new partner in tow and the return of some of the old favorite characters, can they defeat the Graboids again?

Where to begin with this one?

The Womb is an Indonesian film, focused around a woman, Wulan (Naysila Mirdad), who is going through the journey of an unplanned pregnancy.

Pregnancy isn’t the issue, but the world around her quickly becomes it!

The father of the child wants rid of the baby, only she decides to continue the pregnancy. Turning to Facebook (out of all places), for support, she ends up meeting an older couple who are looking to adopt. After going to live with the couple, who appear to be picture-perfect parent material for her baby, the story soon develops a sinister twist.

The story shows the lengths parents will go through to protect their unborn child, and will leave you full of ‘what would I do?’ moments.

Best Horror Movies on Netflix – Jigsaw

Things have very quickly taken a dark turn from Tremors 2 The Aftershocks as we continue to look at the best horror movies on Netflix.

Just the image alone from Jigsaw is enough to make anyone’s skin crawl.

The eighth installment in the Saw films series, the film follows a group of people who find themselves forced to participate in a series of deadly “games” inside a barn after awakening with buckets on their heads and chains around their necks and no knowledge as to what is going on or how they got there.

A tape recording plays telling the group that they must sacrifice their blood before the chains tighten around their necks and pull them into a wall of buzzsaws.

But that’s only the beginning. As further details emerge about the group, more tasks must take place, and well let’s just say, the buzzsaw wall was nothing in comparison to what then follows.

This film really is a new level of gruesome and worthy of a place in the best horror movies on Netflix for March 2023.

Best Horror Movies on Netflix – Slender Man

This ones a bit weird! Supernatural infact!

We shouldn’t mess with the forces unknown, however, a group of 4 friends do just that. Think Candyman, but a bit worse!

Best friends Hallie, Chloe, Wren and Katie go online to try and conjure up the Slender Man – a tall, thin, figure whose face has no discernible features. Katie mysteriously disappears during a class trip to a historic graveyard. Howver this was Katies intention as her life was miserable and she wanted to escape a bit! Surely there’s easier ways to do that?

Whilst her friends try to find her, they soon discover that Slender Man may be all too real, as one by one, they fall victim to its ways.

This film isn’t at all on the same level as Jigsaw that’s for sure, but it is an easier viewing Horror film to watch – A love or hate kind of movie.
