Apex Legends has a mobile version in development, which recently became available for players to try it out and test the game to its limits.

In what is surely welcome news for Apex Legends fans, a mobile version of the game is now entering open playtesting and should be available for all.

Apex Legends Mobile Playtest

You can find all the details about the playtest on the relevant page with partner site GameExp here. The page offers a direct download of the game itself, allowing you to grab the files and get into the game as soon as possible without having to fight the relevant app store on your device.

Though, notably this test seems to be Android only, sorry Apple fans.

The mobile version was announced way back in April, which we covered here.

System Requirements for the Playtest

The System requirements for the mobile test of Apex Legends are noted on the website as;

  • Android Version 6.0
  • 4GB of RAM or more
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon or MediaTek chipset
  • Storage: 64GB or more – .APK file download available is 1.1GB in total.

The storage requirement might seem like a lot, but it seems that the space requirement to get the game downloaded via the APK is much lower, at only 1.1GB in total.

If your mobile device meets these requirements, you should be good to go.
