Trainers unite, it’s time to gather a team ready to compete in PVP battles. As the world of Pokemon celebrates World Championship week, Pokemon Go is no exception, with the launch of Pokemon Go World Championships 2022.

The event brings with it a different style of research for trainers to complete, as well as special rewards, and the return of Zacian and Zamazenta, who are making their way into raids, for the 2nd time.

Let’s take a look at this unique Timed Research, and all the rewards for trainers to earn.

Pokemon Go World Championships 2022 – The Timed Research

Beginning August 18, 2022, and ending August 23, 2022, trainers have only 5 days to compete in this unusual timed research during the Pokemon Go World Championships 2022.

The research takes on the focus of PVP battles, with the Go Battle league being the center of all attention.

Trainers can play up to 10 sets of matches a day instead of the usual 5, meaning trainers can compete in 50 battles a day. In addition, there will also be 3x Stardust from GO Battle League rewards during this time.

The Timed Research for the Pokemon Go World Championships 2022, requires you to beat the trainer NPCs that appear at Pokestops in the same way as Team Rocket and the Grunts.

  • Battle a challenger (10 Poké Balls)
  • Battle 2 challengers (1 Fast TM)
  • Battle 3 challengers (10 Great Balls)
  • Battle 4 challengers (1 Charged TM)
  • Battle 5 challengers (10 Ultra Balls)

Upon completion, trainers will be rewarded with Pikachu (World Championships 2022 outfit) encounter, 1 Elite Fast TM, and 1 Elite Charged TM.
