Pokemon Go Starly Community Day: Shiny Starly, Special Research, and more!

Pokemon Go Starly Community Day 2022

Pokemon Go Community Days are often celebrated by trainers, and this one is certainly no different. The Starly Community Day sees the Gen 4 regional flying type Pokemon make its Community Day debut.

As with all Community Days, trainers will be given many rewards for participating, as well as that all-important chance to catch a Shiny too! The Community Day will give trainers exclusive items, access to special event research, and the opportunity to catch exclusive Pokemon too.

Starly and its third and final evolution Staraptor will be available for players during this time, and due to Staraptor having the ability to learn Gust, it is a day for trainers to be excited about! With the Community Day just hours away, it’s time to gather up all your Pokeballs ready for a jam-packed day! Here’s everything we know so far.

Who is Starly?

Starly is a Normal and Flying type Pokemon, that uses its singing voice to cause an annoyance! Vulnerable to Rock, Electric, and Ice moves, this little bird can use Quick Attack and Brave Bird, and when used in combination, they give Starly the highest total DPS and is the best combination for use in PVP battles. Staravia and Staraptor are the two evolutions available from Starly.

Starvia will be appearing in 4* raids, however remote raid passes will not work for the duration of the event for the Starvia raids, and will have to be accessed using a Premium Raid Battle whilst in close proximity to the gym.

Bonus Raids will also be available to those participating in the Community Day on July 17, 2022, 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm local time. During this time, Starvia will be available to battle in gyms, and once defeated, Starly will increase in the wild within a 300-meter radius of the gym, for 30 minutes.

How to get Staraptor with the exclusive Fast Attack Gust

The Fast Attack Gust is a flying type Quick move that deals 25 damage and generates 20 energy. Gust is deemed to be on the same level as Confusion, making this an incredibly strong move.

Evolving Starvia into Staraptor during the event will automatically grant the Fast Attack Gust to Staraptor. This will work on any Starvia too, not just those caught during the event.
