Pokemon Go: Season of Mischief + how to finally obtain Hoopa

|
Pokemon Go season of mischief

Pokemon Go has seemingly been affected by Hoopa more than expected, as we now enter the Season of Mischief event for the foreseeable future.

Hoopa’s continued shenanigans do come with an advantage though; we can finally expect to meet the Mischief Pokemon sometime soon – Hoopa has been revealed as encounterable during the Misunderstood Mischief research story.

The Season of Mischief in Pokemon Go

The Season of Mischief in Pokemon Go launched on the 1st of September 2021 at 10:00 Local time. The event is expected to run from then until December 1st 2021, again at 10:00 Local time.

The season is described as a continuation of Hoopa’s mischief during Ultra Unlock, – and Trainers are expected to finally get their chance to meet the Mischief Pokemon during the Misunderstood Mischief research story.

Of course, that’s never all an event this big would feature in Pokemon Go. There’s a huge swath of spawn adjustments, bonuses, egg changes and even Dittos transform learning some new tricks.

The star of this Pokemon Go event, Hoopa

Hoopa has been causing a lot of chaos with Pokemon spawns since the start of the Ultra Unlock event, and now that’s over it’s becoming quite clear that Hoopa has no intention of stopping the mischief, with a whole new season of it.

Hoopa itself is slated to make an appearance during the event via the Misunderstood Mischief research task story, so make sure to work your way through those tasks as they unlock to get yourself Hoopa Confined.

The season special research story is also expected to give access to a special event at the end of the season that may be related to Hoopa, but few other details are known currently.

Note that any Hoopa obtained through this in Pokemon Go cannot be transferred to Pokemon HOME for the moment.

Is there anything else to be aware of?

There are still more spawns to be listed than available here, but the relevant lists are quite huge compared to the usual fare for Pokemon Go, so I’ve opted to leave those out. You can find them here for the moment.

That’s about everything for the season of mischief itself, but keep an eye on our Pokemon Go section here for more related content, and if you’d instead like to see more by me specifically, a list of my articles is available here.
