Leekduck specifically made note that players may obtain the Deino hat avatar item from this challenge as well, possibly as a completion reward – it will also be available for purchase after the season ends.

Is there anything else?

There are other challenges coming later as part of the season of heritage, this is just the first of three – though the later ones might be gated behind purchased content instead. Specifically, the January and February challenges are linked to pre-purchase of Johto tour before their respective start dates.
