Pokemon Go Regis Return; Regi trio back in raids

Pokemon Go’s next set of raid bosses have been revealed to be the Regi trio, and it’s about time for the Regis to return to Pokemon Go.

When are the Regis returning to Pokemon Go

The entire Regi trio will be seen in raids for a little over half of the next month, as well as in one raid hour each, in the following pattern:

  • Regirock will appear in the June 2nd Raid hour
  • Registeel will appear in the June 9th Raid hour
  • And Regice will appear in the June 16th Raid hour

It should be noted that while Niantic has not yet made known what the latter half of the month’s raids will be after the Regis return to Pokemon Go, though given they seem to be adding new Pokemon recently, and the full set of Regis would be immediately before it, Regigigas doesn’t seem like much of a stretch.

What to expect from the Regi return to Pokemon Go

Naturally the entire set of Regis will be tier 5 raid targets in Pokemon Go.

You’ll probably want to round up a team of at least 4 to 5 players and focus on exploiting the type weaknesses of each if you intended to bring them down quickly. Making use of a tool such as /r/PokemonGoFriends to find fellow Trainers to help in the raids would be a great idea to help with this.

As always, I’ll be trying to put our articles further detailing the weaknesses of each of the legendary raid Pokemon featured during the month to help out.

With that said, the set of three Regi’s are all single-type Pokemon, if you know the weaknesses of Rock, Steel and Ice types already, you’re in a good position to wing it and just run with a small team against them all exploiting their type weaknesses.

Anything else to know?

Not very much actually. As far as tier 5 raids go, the Regi trio is pretty simple. Just abuse their type weaknesses and you’ll be in a good spot. Make sure to keep an eye out for news on what will be coming in the second half of the month though, as we just don’t know what that is yet.
