Pokemon Go: Psychic Spectacular 2021 event, Inkay Release
Pokemon Go is opening up its second event as part of the season of Mischief, Psychic Spectacular – featuring a lot of Psychic Types and a new surprise.
As you might have noticed from our title image, Inkay has made its way to Pokemon Go!
Pokemon Go Psychic Spectacular 2021 event features
The Psychic Spectacular in Pokemon Go will include quite a few different things. For starters, it’ll bring with it the next chapter of Misunderstood Mischief.
Alongside that, as you might expect from the name the event itself is themed around Psychic-type Pokemon – meaning that spawns and research tasks will be heavily Psychic themed.
Psychic Speculator 2021 will be starting from September 8th at 10:00 am local time and runs until September 13th at 8:00 PM local time.
Raid changes
As a reminder before we get into it, Pokemon are bolded if they can be found as shiny during the event.
1* raids will consist of:
- Staryu
- Chimecho
- Bronzor
- Espurr
- Inkay
3* raids will consist of:
- Alolan Raichu
- Wobbuffet
- Medicham
- Metagross
And finally, Lugia will appear in 5* raids, alongside Mega Slowbro in Mega Raids.
Spawn Changes
- Abra
- Drowzee
- Gothita
- Solosis
- Elgyem
- Inkay
As you might have noticed from the last entry of two of these lists, we have a new Pokemon available as well, so let’s talk about that next.
Inkay and Malamar make their way to Pokemon Go
Inkay is a cute little Psychic/Water dual-type, though it’s a bit of a weird Pokemon overall – how it evolved in the mainline series games it featured in made its way onto one of our articles about weird Pokemon evolutions for example.
And guess what? “Inkay will only evolve under Unique Circumstances.”
It looks pretty likely that the evolution method has now made its way over to Pokemon Go, so get ready to be holding your phones upside down to appease our new squid overlords, trainers.
Is there anything else to know about Psychic Spectacular in Pokemon Go?
That’s pretty much about it. The season of Mischief so far seems to be about quick events that do one thing well and don’t try too much else. It’s working pretty well so far, I think.
Oh and, as a closing note – there’s a snapshot surprise one a day as well as some new stickers during the event.
