Pokemon Go: Litleo Spotlight hour, doubled evolution exp

This week’s Spotlight hour in Pokemon Go will feature Litleo, the Lion Cub Pokemon, as well as a doubled evolution experience bonus.

What can we expect from Litleo spotlight hour?

Just in case you’re unfamiliar with Pokemon Go’s Spotlight hours, I’ll give you a quick summary of what you’ll get.

These events are effectively one-hour bursts of what you’d expect from a Community day – or at the very least, the spawns part of one. To be specific, they’ll replace all the usual wild Pokemon spawns you’d encounter with the featured Pokemon for the duration of the event.

With that in mind, that’ll mean a lot of Litleo for this one. That’s great if you want or otherwise just like Litleo, not so much otherwise.

Fortunately for Non-Litleo fans, these events do feature a thrown in extra bonus to make sure the Pokemon isn’t the only thing on offer; unfortunately, the bonus here is doubled evolution experience, which is simply terrible.

When is the Pokemon Go Litleo spotlight hour?

The Litleo Spotlight hour in Pokemon Go will start on February 1st at 6:00 PM local time and as you may expect, runs for one hour until it ends at 7:00 PM local time.

For those unfamiliar with local time, in short, it’s the time wherever you happen to be. So don’t worry about timezones for this one.

Anything else worth mentioning?

The only other thing worth a mention here is whether or not Litleo is available as a Shiny, as these events can be great for quickly farming a specific Shiny (and the time limit helps you avoid burning out on it) – in this case, however, Litleo doesn’t seem to be available as a Shiny at the moment, so that’s a no-go.
