Pokemon Go: How to evolve Snorunt into Froslass

Froslass in the Pokemon anime

Froslass is a pretty useful Ghost/Ice Dual-type Pokemon, but how do you get this elusive Ice-type? Are there any requirements for it?

Fortunately enough, these are pretty easy questions to answer, so let’s get into it.

How to get Froslass in Pokemon Go

To get a Froslass in Pokemon Go, you’re going to have to meet a few different requirements. The first and most obvious, you’ll need 100 candy to be able to evolve a Snorunt into Froslass at all.

When you’ve got the candy requirement out of the way, you’ve likely captured quite a few Snorunt to choose from – If you want Froslass specifically and not Glalie, you’ll need to make sure you pick a female Snorunt, as Froslass is gender-locked. When you’ve got both the candy and the female Snorunt ready, you just need one last item – a Sinnoh stone.

As a heads up before we continue about Sinnoh Stones, if you’re not sure how to check gender in Pokemon Go, don’t worry – we’ve got a guide for that too.

Sinnoh stones are fairly annoying items to get ahold of. Your best bet for finding them is typically claiming research breakthroughs or completing trainer battles, which means it’s a real problem for players who don’t actively PVP. You might also be able to find one through limited-time research or rare tasks, so keep an eye out.

When you’ve found yourself a Sinnoh Stone, make sure to check out the link above to be certain you want to use it for Froslass – there are quite a few Pokemon who need these items to evolve.

Is there anything else to be aware of?

That’s it for Froslass – just make sure you have the right gender of Snorunt, and everything else is displayed in the game for you, 100 candy and a Sinnoh Stone are the only other requirements.

That’s about everything that needs to be said for Froslass. If you’re looking for more Pokemon Go content like this guide or other news and stories, you can find them in our Pokemon Go Category, and if you’d instead like to see more by me specifically, you can find my page here.
