Trainers Unite, we are in for a treat! The next adventure in Pokemon Go is about to begin, with the launch of the Pokemon Go Hisuian Discoveries Event.

Hisuian Regional variants are about to debut, with trainers preparing to embrace the new opportunities these Pokemon will bring.

Let’s explore everything we know about the new Pokemon and what that means to trainers worldwide.

When is the Pokemon Go Hisuian Discoveries Event?

The Pokemon Go Hisuian Discoveries event will run from July 27, 2022, 10.00 am local time, to August 2, 2022, 8:00 pm local time, as it introduces the Hisuian forms of Pokemon to the game, as well as their new evolutions, Hisuian Growlithe, Hisuian Qwilfish, and Hisuian Sneasel.

Alongside these new Pokemon, trainers can also complete the Hisuian Discoveries Collection Challenge and complete a series of event-exclusive field research tasks.

Pokemon Go Hisuian Discoveries Event Collection Challenge

Like other Collection Challenges, the Hisuian Discoveries Collection Challenge requires trainers to collect a specific amount of Polemon. Upon completion, trainers will be awarded an Elite Collectors Medal to add to the growing collection.

The Pokémon required for the challenge and where to find them are as follows:

  • Buizel – In the wild
  • Ponyta – In the wild
  • Bronzor – In the wild
  • Croagunk – In the wild
  • Drifloon – In the wild
  • Octillery – In the wild
  • Tangela – In the wild
  • Hisuian Qwilfish – In the wild and 7km eggs
  • Hisuian Voltorb – In the wild and 7km eggs
  • Aipom – In the wild and Field Research task – Take a snapshot of your buddy
  • Onix – In the wild and Field research task – Make 3 Great Throws in a row
  • Gible – In the wild and Field research task – Make 3 Excellent Throws in a row

For completing this challenge, trainers will receive 7000 XP, 3000 Stardust, and an Incubator.

Pokemon Go Hisuian Discoveries Event Field Research Tasks

As well as the Hisuian Discoveries Collection Challenge, the Hisuian Discoveries Event also brings trainers new Field Research Tasks with their own unique rewards upon completion.

The field research tasks are as follows:

  • Catch 10 Pokémon – Paras, Psyduck, or Magnemite encounter
  • Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon – Cyndaquil, Oshawott, or Rowlet encounter
  • Hatch an Egg – Sneasel encounter
  • Battle in a raid – Remoraid or Mantine encounter
  • Win a raid – Shinx encounter
  • Send 3 Gifts and add sticker to each – Clefairy or Petilil encounter
  • Send 5 Gifts and add a sticker to each – Plant Burmy, Sand Burmy, or Trash Burmy encounter

Pokemon Go Hisuian Discoveries Event Raid Day

As well as the Collectors Challenge for the Elite Collection Medal, Trainers are also being given a special raid day to celebrate the newest additions to the game – the Hisuian Discoveries Raid Day.

Running on Sunday 31st July 2022, between 11 am and 2 pm local time, the Hisuian Discoveries Raid Day features the legendary Braviary – with the possibility of also encountering a Shiny Braviary.

During the event, and up until 4 pm local time on Sunday 31st July, trainers will be able to collect 5 free raid passes, giving you more opportunities to encounter a Shiny Braviary.

Trainers will also receive a bonus of 50% more XP for winning any raids, as well as an increased chance of receiving XL candy (not available to remote raid pass players).
