As we approach the end of October, trainers are in for a treat, and maybe a few tricks, as the Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 event continues.

During this spooky spectacular event, trainers have already encountered a new Mega Raid, exclusive timed research, and a new shiny debut! And with the announcement of the Pokemon Go Halloween Spooky Festival, trainers are in for bucketfuls of rewards!

Let’s take a look below, at all the information for what is set to be an event not to be missed!

Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 Part 2 – The details

Commencing Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 10:00 am local time, and ending Tuesday 1st November 2022, 8:00 pm local time, the Pokemon Go Halloween Spooky Festival is set to be full of surprises!

Vulpix wearing a Spooky Festival costume, Ninetales wearing a Spooky Festival costume, Gengar wearing a Spooky Festival costume, Pumpkaboo wearing a Spooky Festival costume, and Gourgeist wearing a Spooky Festival costume will all make their Pokemon GO debuts during the event.

There will be a variety of bonuses available to all trainers including:

  • 2× Candy for catching Pokemon
  • 2× Candy for hatching Pokemon
  • 2× Candy for transferring Pokemon
  • Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when walking with their buddy.

Pokestops will be decorated for the event, with Halloween-themed items engulfing the stops.

Shiny debut!

During the Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 event, trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Galarian Yamask and Shiny Noibat as they make their Pokemon Go debut.

Noibat will be available at an increased Shiny rate by hatching them from eggs, but will still be available as a Shiny encounter in the wild too!

Mega Banette Raid debut!

Mega Banette will be flying into raids for the duration of the Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 event, as well as being available as a Shiny Pokemon too!

The following Pokemon will also be appearing in raids:

1 Star Raids:

  • Sableye
  • Purrloin
  • Yamask
  • Galarian Yamask
  • Phantump

Sableye, Yamask, and Galarian Yamask will all be available in their Shiny forms.

3 Star Raids:

  • Gangar
  • Umbreon
  • Drifblim
  • Drapion

Gangar will be available for trainers to defeat as a Shiny Pokemon.

5 Star Raids:

  • (Origin) Giratina

Any Giratina caught between Thursday, October 27, 2022, at 10:00 am to Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 10:00 am will know the featured attack Shadow Force.

Wild encounters

It wouldn’t be a Halloween event without some of our favorite spooky Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild.

Trainers can expect to see the following Pokemon, as well as a few Shiny Pokemon too:

  • Spinarak
  • Murkrow
  • Misdreavus
  • Sableye
  • Shuppet
  • Dusclops
  • Absol
  • Drifloon
  • Yamask
  • Golett
  • Phantump
  • Pumpkaboo
  • Subat
  • Gastly
  • Haunter

Subat, Gastly, Spinarak, Murkrow, Misdreavus, Sableye, Shuppet, Dusclops, Absol, Drifloon, and Yamask will all be available to encounter as Shiny Pokemon.

Special Research

Trainers can assist Professor Willow and Rhi in Halloween-themed Special Research! Along the way, trainers will learn more about Yamask and Galarian Yamask.

Special Research will be available from Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time.
