The Pokemon Go 2021 Halloween event is split into two halves, this article is all about part 1, Creepy Companions – which includes new raids, new wild spawns and new eggs.

There’s a fair bit to unpack in this event, so let’s get going already.

Creepy Companions – Pokemon Go Halloween 2021 Part 1

While some of the Halloween events spans over the full duration, Pokemon from wild spawns, raids and eggs will change depending on which half of the event you’re in, so I’ve divided those changes between here and a separate part 2 article.

Part 1, Creepy Companions is the first half of the 2021 Halloween event and starts in Pokemon Go from October 15th at 10:00 AM, and runs until October 22nd at 10:00 AM, both in local time.

New Spawns in Pokemon Go Creepy Companions

Now on to what Part 1 will do to our various sources of Pokemon – all Pokemon that can be found as a shiny variant in their respective lists will be shown as bold text from this point onwards.

  • Pikachu
  • Zubat
  • Gastly
  • Drowzee
  • Spinarak
  • Misdreavus
  • Shuppet
  • Piplup
  • Stunky
  • Woobat
  • Yamask
  • Gothita

If you’re wondering what the likes of Pikachu and Piplup are doing in this event, you’re not alone – they don’t quite fit in, do they? But they’re here because they’ll be wearing costumes during the event, making them costumed versions rather than just the standard versions.

New Raids

Creepy Companions will feature a whole set of new raids as well, ranging from 1-star all the way up to a Mega raid. So, let’s talk about what we can expect, our 1* raids will contain the following Pokemon:

  • Galarian Slowpoke
  • Murkrow
  • Scraggy
  • Yamask
  • Espurr

It’s certainly an interesting mix, though the addition of Galarian Slowpoke makes more sense when you’re aware that the evolved form, Galarian Slowking, also launched during this event.

  • Alolan Raichu
  • Sableye
  • Banette
  • Drifblim (Costumed)

All of these make sense except for Alolan Raichu, but I guess they get strongarmed in because of Pikachu appearing earlier on.

Finally, our 5* raid for this half of the event will be the Altered Form of Giratina, and Mega Gengar will be appearing in Mega Raids.

New Eggs

Only 7km eggs are being changed for the event, but the new eggs will feature all of the following:

  • Spinarak
  • Misdreavus
  • Shuppet
  • Chingling
  • Galarian Yamask
  • Litwick
  • Golett

Keeping up with the theme of at least one Pokemon seeming out of place, Golett sticks out a bit here – but everything else seems pretty on brand for Halloween.

Anything else?

That’s it for all the Pokemon featuring in the Halloween 2021 part 1 event, Creepy Companions. There’s quite a few in here, but this is nothing compared to the overall size of the event. You can find more details about that in our main event coverage.

With Creepy Companions now explained in full, you can check out the rest of the event at the link above, otherwise if you’re just looking for more Pokemon Go content like this or for other news and stories, you can find them in our Pokemon Go Category.
