Pokemon Go is holding yet another Incense day, this time focused on Ice and Ground-types, primarily Swinub.

Event Features

This incense day will feature Ground and Ice-types as the name of the event implies, as well as throwing us some event-exclusive field research and plenty of Swinub.

So why Swinub, you may be wondering? Well, it turns out Swinub will be attracted to incense throughout the entire event. Regardless of the other effects at any given time.

Speaking of Swinub, evolving them all the way up to Mamoswine will grant you a Mamoswine that knows the charged attack Ancient power.

Get ready to be seeing plenty of this little Ice-type Pig Pokemon during the event, in other words.

Outside of Swinub though – who by the way, likely has a Shiny rate boost during the event, the event is split between Ice and Ground Type focused hours.

Ice-type Hours

Ice-type Pokemon will dominate the event throughout the following hours:

  • 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
  • and 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm

During these hours you can expect to see any of the following Pokemon lured by incense:

  • Seel
  • Jynx
  • Sneasel
  • Snorunt
  • Snover
  • Vanillite
  • Galarian Darumaka

Ground-type Hours

Ground-type Pokemon meanwhile, will run the show throughout the following hours:

  • 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
  • 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
  • and 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm

During these hours you can expect to see any of the following Pokemon lured by incense:

  • Onix
  • Cubone
  • Rhyhorn
  • Wooper
  • Phanpy
  • Barboach
  • Larvitar

When is the Ice/Ground Incense day in Pokemon Go?

The Ground and Ice-type Incense day event takes place on Sunday the 5th of December, running from 11:00 AM local time till 5:00 PM local time.

As per usual, local time in Pokemon Go terms means whatever the time zone it is for you, is the correct one for the event – meaning the event will launch at different points of time across the world to make it viable for everyone to attend.

Is there anything else?

You can catch yourself 2 incense for the low low price of one coin at the start of this event in the store, but that’s about everything that’s left to say.
