Pokemon Go: Electabuzz Spotlight hour, doubled Transfer Candy

Pokemon Anime Electabuzz

This weeks Spotlight hour in Pokemon Go will feature Electabuzz, the Electric Pokemon, as well as a doubled transfer candy bonus.

If you don’t particularly care about Electabuzz in Pokemon Go, it might well be worth attending regardless, as doubled transfer candy is quite a useful bonus.

What can we expect from Electabuzz spotlight hour?

For anyone who isn’t used to this particular Pokemon Go event type, Spotlight hours are basically a one-hour long event consisting of all spawns being replaced by a single Pokemon, in this case, that means Electabuzz. A whole lot of Electabuzz.

The spawn replacing effects are quite similar to what you’d expect from a Community day, but Spotlight hours do not come with all the other extras, they are very simple affairs comparatively.

This is all great if you like Electabuzz, not so much if you’re not really a fan of the Electric Pokemon.

Fortunately, there is also typically an additional bonus. The event bonus can occasionally go some way to compensating for featured Pokemon that a trainer doesn’t want – and on this occasion, doubled transfer candy is incredibly useful if you have plenty of spare Pokemon to clear out, as it’ll make each one worth twice as much candy.

When is the Pokemon Go Electabuzz Spotlight hour?

The Electabuzz spotlight hour for Pokemon Go will start on December 7th at 6:00 PM local time, and run until 7:00 PM for a total duration of one hour.

This is the usual length of spotlight hours as the name indicates, and exceptions to this are extremely rare if they ever occur.

Additionally, for those unfamiliar with Pokemon Go’s Local time, it means that you don’t need to worry about timezones because the game event will take place at that time in every timezone, so it’ll be a staggered out event launch across the world.

Is there anything else?

The only other thing really worth considering with spotlight hours is using them as a chance to gather Shiny versions of the featured Pokemon, and as it happens, Shiny Electabuzz is available in Pokemon Go, so you can use this to farm it if you’re looking for one.

Good luck on that Shiny hunting, Trainers.

That’s about everything as far as the Electabuzz spotlight hour is concerned, though if you’d like more guides or articles about Pokemon Go, you can find them right here on The Click, and if you’d instead like to see more by me specifically, a list of my articles is available here.
