Mythical Wishes is now well underway, and as we enter 2023, that means only one thing for trainers, a whole new Community Day for trainers to enjoy. This time, Niantic brings Chespin, a mighty Grass Type Pokemon once evolved, in the Pokemon Go Chespin Community Day.

Community Days are a great way for trainers to complete challenges, encounter increased spawn rates of some of their favorite Pokemon, and even a shiny too!

Let’s look below at everything we know so far about the upcoming Pokemon Go Chespin Community Day.

When is the Pokemon Go Chespin Community Day?

The Pokemon Go Chespin Community Day is set to take place on Saturday, January 7th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Tickets will be available in the in-game store leading up to and including the day of the event for $0.99 or the local equivalent.

Who is Chespin?

Chespin is a Grass Type Pokemon first introduced in Generation VI.

Chespin is known for its curious nature which often lands it in trouble, With its tough shell exterior, Chespin can be evolved into Quilladin for 25 candies. Quilladin can then be evolved into the mighty Chesnaught for 100 candies.

Chespin Community Day Featured Attack

Evolve Quilladin during the Community Day, or for up to five hours afterward, to get a Chesnaught that knows the Charged Attack Frenzy Plant.

Community Day Bonus Features

There are bonus features for trainers to enjoy during the Chespin Community Day.

Exclusive stickers will be available in gifts from other trainers, to purchase in the item shop, and by spinning stops during the event.

The day will host a special Community Day item box for only 1 coin; however, details of the contents are yet to emerge. As with previous Community Days, items are likely to include Pokeballs, berries, or even a Lure!

During the Chespin Community Day, until 5:00 p.m. local time, trainers will earn double candy for catching Pokemon, and players who are level 31 or above will also have the increased advantage and opportunity to earn themselves XL candy.

As with most Community Days and events, incense and lure modules used by trainers during the event will last for three hours rather than their usual duration of 30 minutes, plus 1/4 egg distance will also be in play.

Bonus Raid

There will also be bonus Quilladin 4* raids after the Chespin Community Day ends.

From 5:00pm until 10:00 pm, defeat Quilladin at any of the 4* raids (remote passes not valid), and Chespin will spawn more frequently around the host gym for 30 minutes, giving trainers a further opportunity to try and capture a shiny!
