Duskull has been revealed as the featured Pokemon for the upcoming October Community Day in Pokemon Go! Including boosted shiny rates.

When is Duskull Community Day in Pokemon Go

Duskull Community Day is expected to take place in Pokemon Go on the 9th of October, starting from 11:00 AM local time and lasting for 6 hours until 5:00 PM local time.

As a reminder, local time means that wherever you are in the world, it’s the time for you that should matter – provided your clocks are correct, anyway. It’s based on the regional time, as opposed to one specific time for one timezone and every other timezone needing to adjust accordingly – so just make sure to check-in at 11 AM on the 19th for you, and you should be fine.

What to expect from Duskull Community Day

Like other Community Days before it, Duskulls day will feature basically all ordinary Pokemon Go spawns with the featured pokemon, meaning Duskull. That means you’ll be seeing a hell of a lot of Duskull for those 6 hours.

Of course, that’s never the entire story for a Community Day. If it was these things would just be glorified spotlight hours.

During the Community Day you’ll be able to earn up to four total Sinnoh Stones, which will be useful to evolve your newly caught Duskull into Dusknoir – you just need to complete the free timed research tasks during the day. The shop will also have 30 free ultra balls available on the day of the event.

If that’s not enough for you, there are the usual photobombs, as well an exclusive move available – all Dusknoir evolved or caught during the event will learn Shadow Ball. Still want more? How about the Community Day box for 1280 coins, containing all of the following:

  • 50 Ultra Balls
  • 4 Incense
  • 4 Star Pieces
  • Elite Charged TM

Is there anything else to be aware of?

There are a few other small bonuses, including tripled experience per capture, and a duration boost that takes both Lures and Incense from typical durations to 3 hours each.

Additionally, the shiny rate for Duskull will be boosted during the event. Not a bad little extra, eh?
