Trainers. As we continue within Season 9: Mythical Wishes, we are in store for yet another event, and this time, Pokemon Go brings us Crackling Voltage.

Set to be full of electric Pokemon, as well as not one, but two Pokemon making their Shiny Debuts, as well as seeing the return of a Legendary Pokemon to five Star Raids, the event is set to give us all an electrifying time.

Let’s take a look below at all of the important details, as we prepare to enter our final month of what has been a very full Season within Pokemon Go.

Crackling Voltage: The Details

Commencing Friday, January 27, at 10:00 AM Local Time and ending Sunday, February 5, at 11:59 PM Local Time, trainers will have only 9 days to reap all the benefits of this event.

Featuring Shiny Heloptile for the first time in Pokemon Go, and the return of the Legendary Tapu Koko to the 5* raids as a Shiny Pokemon too, this electrifying event is not one to miss.

Team GO Rocket Takeover

From Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 12:00 am to Sunday, February 5, at 11:59 pm local time, and available to claim until the end of Season 9: Mythical Wishes, trainers will encounter a Team Go Rocket Takeover, in an attempt to capture Shadow Registeel in a new Special Research.

Upon completion, trainers will receive a Super Rocket Radar and begin the hunt to defeat Giovanni.

Crackling Voltage – the Raids

For the duration of the Crackling Voltage event, the following Pokemon will be available in raids.

1 Star Raids:

  • Alolan Grimer*
  • Shinx*
  • Bronzor*
  • Klink*
  • Helioptile*

3 Star Raids:

  • Venomoth
  • Galarian Weezing*
  • Jolteon
  • Mawile*

5 Star Raids:

For the Crackling Voltage Event, two different Pokemon will appear for the Events 5* raids.

Tapu Koko will appear in raids from Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Tapu Koko will feature, and from Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Registeel will take over. And if caught during the event, Registeel will know the Charged Attack Zap Cannon.

Mega Raids:

For the duration of the Crackling Voltage event, two Pokemon will appear in Mega Raids.

From Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. local time, trainers will be able to encounter Mega Aerodactyl*, and from Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. local time, Mega Gengar* will be the star of the show!

Eggs

We all love it when an egg hatches, especially during an event! And this time, any Helioptile hatched from a 7km egg will have a high chance of being a Shiny Pokemon!

Appearing within 7km for the duration of the event will be the following Pokemon:

  • Alolan Sandshrew*
  • Skarmory*
  • Blitzle*
  • Stunfisk
  • Galarian Stunfisk*
  • Helioptile*
  • Dedenne*
