Guilty Gear Strive announces its first new DLC character

Guilty Gear -Strive- is the only fighting game I’m playing at the moment, and it’s supremely good. If you take anything from this article, it would be that you should really play Guilty Gear -Strive-, as it’s fucking amazing, especially for newcomers. However, I wouldn’t be writing this article if I was gonna just gush about a good fighting game; we’re talking about Guilty Gear because it’s getting a new character for its roster.

Guilty Gear is known for having a cast of eclectic and strange characters, which include everything from vampires to assassins who fight in their sleep. Strive is no exception, as its base cast is pretty wacky in its own right, and they’re all perfect in their own way, but as it is with newer games, there needs to be DLC to added.

It’s all about the Franklins my friends.

Welcome to the fold, Goldlewis Dickinson

The new character for Guilty Gear -Strive- is going to be a brand new original character named Goldlewis Dickinson. According to the trailer we got, it seems like he’ll be a bulky character in the vein of Potemkin, where he’ll have great power at the cost of mobility. As of right now, we get the impression that Goldlewis will be a CIA type, who is in charge of strange anomalies from Area 51. This’ll be a new addition that will shake up the cast of Strive with a completely unique personality than what we were given before.

Look at that jaw, that stoic expression on his face. Those are the makings of a legendary character.

From the looks of things, Goldlewis seems to have plenty of ranged options at his disposal, as well as rocking a huge minigun to blast your opponent away if they get too complacent. Overall, I personally feel that Goldlewis Dickinson is gonna be a pretty awesome addition to the fantastic cast of Guilty Gear -Strive-, as his aesthetic and personality scream “classic 80’s action hero that fused with someone from Gravity Falls” from the top of its lungs. Here’s to hoping we get some classic characters in the season pass sometime soon.

Goldlewis Dickinson will arrive for season pass owners on July 27th and will be on sale individually on July 30th.
