When does Aragami 2 come out & what do you need to know about it?

UPDATE – Aragami 2 is coming to Xbox Game Pass and we now know when to expect it!

LINCE WORKS are back with another Aragami game this month – the cleverly titled Aragami 2 – and we can’t wait to get stuck in. Here’s everything you need to know about when Aragami 2 is due to come out, what it’s all about, and everything else you can think of.

UPDATE – Aragami 2 coming to Game Pass

Lince Works’ Aragami 2 has been confirmed as a Day One title for Xbox Game pass on Console, PC, and Cloud. It joins the following titles over the next couple of weeks…

  • I Am Fish – Cloud, Console, PC – September 16th
  • SkateBird – Cloud, Console, PC – September 16th
  • Superliminal – Cloud, Console, PC – September 16th

When does Aragami 2 come out?

Aragami 2 is due to release on September 17th – you can actually purchase it on Steam right now for 15% less with a pre-purchase promotion!

Aragami 2 isn’t just a PC game, though. Lince Works’ stealth action title is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Sadly, it isn’t launching on Nintendo Switch or streaming services like Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.

The original Aragami title DID eventually make it to Nintendo Switch and Amazon Luna, though, so this isn’t outside of the realms of possibility just yet. Aragami 2 is also going to be available on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass for PC at launch. So… That’s another win for Xbox players!

What is Argami 2 all about?

Aragami 2 looks to build on what made Aragami great by offering a smoother experience with a more ” robust ability tree” and balanced gameplay that keeps stealth-based combat the priority. The development team had the following to say via the PlayStation Blog:

“Since Aragami 2 is a stealth game, we challenged ourselves to create a combat system with supernatural ninja skills, which also encourages stealth over brute force. We thought the best way to achieve this was to give our characters agile and skilful movement, which empowers subterfuge and stealth assault instead of a lot of strength. It also strengthens the exciting feeling of overcoming overwhelming odds.”

Aragami 2 also features a three-player co-op system – that’s one more player than Aragami – that will aim to push you and your friends into exciting new challenges with a versatility one player alone can’t achieve.

” You are one of the last elite warriors of your kin, the Aragami. Victims of a supernatural affliction which corrodes the body and devours the mind, the Aragami control Shadow Essence – a mystical power that grants the ability to control the shadows. With this power the Aragami carry out their tasks and quests – assignments made all along the valley to ensure the subsistence of the village and to free the Aragami enslaved by the invader armies.”
