Zenless Zone Zero closed beta begins today

Zenless Zone Zero - Tuning Test - Closed Beta

Initially criticized for its website’s launch during Genshin Impact‘s version 2.7 delay, the closed beta for Zenless Zone Zero begins today, August 5th.

The upcoming anime-style game is developed by HoYoverse, the same developer that brought the massively popular action role-playing game Genshin Impact to the gaming world. Therefore, Zenless Zone Zero is expected to have some similar mechanics to the previously released title.

For instance, players in both games can combine different party members’ abilities to deal combos and massive damage. However, while Genshin Impact has taken its setting’s inspiration mainly from medieval times, Zenless Zone Zero is set in a post-apocalyptic metropolis called New Eridu.

In the upcoming game, entities known as Ethereal had come to the human world through portals called Hollows and wiped out most of humanity. With this, a select group of survivors joined forces and planned to fight back.
