Xbox Cloud Gaming: 16 OG Xbox and 360 games now playable

Imagine telling yourself a decade ago that you could play games like Halo, The Elder Scrolls and Gears of War on your mobile phone, with your save files too.

Well, you can with Xbox’s Cloud Gaming service and Microsoft has just added support for 16 more games from the original Xbox and Xbox 360.

As part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription service, players can also play a select amount of games streamed directly to their Android phone or tablet.

Game Pass Ultimate is already an incredible deal with online play, plus a library of over 500 games spread across console and PC available to players, including 90 top EA games such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, now Xbox Cloud Gaming just makes the deal even better.

Here are the latest games to become available on the platform;

  • Banjo-Kazooie
  • Banjo-Tooie
  • Double Dragon Neon
  • Fable II
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Gears of War 2
  • Gears of War 3
  • Gears of War: Judgment
  • Jetpac Refuelled (touch controls enabled)
  • Kameo
  • Perfect Dark
  • Perfect Dark Zero
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Viva Piñata (touch controls enabled)
  • Viva Piñata: TIP (touch controls enabled)

These latest games join the likes of Halo: Master Chief Collection, Destiny 2, Celeste, Doom Eternal, Forza Horizon 4, Resident Evil 7, and The Witcher 3 which can all be played via the cloud, with original save files that sync up with your console or PC so you can continue where you left off no matter what device you’re on, isn’t technology great.

For current Xbox Live Gold or Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, don’t forget to claim your Games With Gold games too.

Here are the games that will be coming to the service this month.

  • Vikings: Wolves of Midgard: Available April 1 to April 30
  • Truck Racing Championship: Available April 16 to May 15
  • Dark Void: Available April 1 to April 15
  • Hard Corps: Uprising: Available April 16 to April 30
