WWE 2K22 will be 2K’s opportunity for redemption following the release of the rather dreadful WWE 2K20 in 2019. WWE 2K20 was plagued with so many issues that the developers canceled WWE 2K21 and decided to put more time and effort into ensuring that 2K22 was the best it could be.

The game will finally be released on March 11, 2022, marking the first time that the series has ever been released in the Spring since the release of the first WWF Smackdown back in March 2000.

Ahead of the game’s release, 2K has now revealed every WWE Superstar and Legend that will be in the game along with their ratings.

Due to WWE’s extensive roster cuts throughout 2020 and 2021, there are now over 30 WWE Superstars on this list that are no longer with the company, making this the most outdated roster at launch that we’ve ever seen in a WWE game.

It is also worth noting that many Legends that are typically in WWE games are missing this year, such as Mick Foley and Dusty Rhodes, however, there are many that have been included that are usually excluded, such as Chyna, Jake Roberts, and Road Dogg Jesse James.

When it comes to ratings in WWE games, they typically refer to a Superstar’s position in the company rather than their ability in the ring or their toughness. This is why a Superstar such as Becky Lynch has a higher rating than Triple H, The Undertaker, and Bobby Lashley, when we know realistically she would be unlikely to beat them in a fight. Whereas in games such as NBA 2K the player’s rating is based on their ability as a player.

WWE 2K22 will be released on March 11, 2022, on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
