Tower of Fantasy: All new characters in Version 2.0

The Version 2.0 Vera update of Tower of Fantasy will debut three new characters; Lin, Ruby, and Suki Fuwa. Here’s what you need to know about these upcoming additions to the cast.

So far, there have only been four official SSR characters that were part of the Special Order events in the Tower of Fantasy of the global version; Nemesis, Frigg, Claudia, and Cobalt-B, respectively. Each of them had at least two weeks as a gap between their releases. They were all released individually. Version 2.0 Vera update of Tower of Fantasy may change that as three new characters are set to be released instead.

If you read up on their backstory, weapons, and Simulacrum prior to the official debut on October 20, you can be prepared once the Version 2.0 Vera update is out and know which characters you want to focus on. Take note that the information provided below for each character is based on the current Chinese version of the game. That means it is likely to be correct, but may be subject to change.

Version 2.0 new characters

Lin

Weapon: Shadow Weaver

Resonance: DPS

Horoscope: Virgo

Element: Aberration – When fully charged, the Wanderer’s next attack leaves a mark that causes an explosion after 5 seconds. This deals an additional 25% of the damage dealt during the marked period. This can stack up to 560% of ATK. The user can only target one enemy at a time.

Weapon Mastery: The user can summon Nightblooms that will randomly appear around the target after switching it from another weapon. They will explode within 1-3 seconds. They cause an AoE damage of 60% of the users ATK.

Weapon Abilities

  • Normal Attacks: While the user is on the ground, use the Shadow Weaver to perform 5 attacks.
  • Air Strike: While the user is airborne, use the basic attack 5 times to perform consecutive attacks in the air.
  • Mud Scatter: After using the second basic attack when the character is either on the ground or in the air, hold the basic attack to initiate this ability.
  • Short-lived: After holding the basic attack for a few seconds, release it to shoot this ability at an enemy. This ability can be charged up to three times with increasing damage.
  • Passive: Tap the basic attack as soon as you release the mud scatter to hit enemies with a charged Short-lived.

Ruby

Resonance: DPS

Horoscope: Cancer

Element: Flame- When fully charged, this weapon will set the enemy on fire for 8 seconds. The next attack will also cause ongoing damage of 58.00% of ATK every second. Affected targets will also have healing efficacy cut in half.

Flame Resonance: If the Wanderer has equipped 2 or more Flame weapons on their weapon list, it increases the Flame ATK by 20% and Flame Resistance by 40%.

Weapon Abilities

  • Spark Attack: While the user is on the ground, they can take control of Sparky and attack 5 times in a row.
  • Aerial Attack: While the user is airborne, use the basic attack using Sparky to hit enemies 4 times in a row.
  • Gotcha!: After holding the normal attack or a normal attack after triggering Imprisonment Cage to continuously shoot out a flame beam, dealing damage equal to 40% of ATK + 2 to targets in your direction, you can trigger this attack. This will also consume your stamina.
  • Falling Flames: While in the air, the user needs to hold the basic attack. Sparky deals 172.1% of ATK + 9 damage to surrounding targets after quickly falling to the ground.

Saki Fuwa

Horoscope: Libra

Element: Ice – When fully charged weapons will cause enemies to freeze for 2 seconds. The enemies will be frostbitten for 6 seconds. If a player breaks the ice shell, it will cause an additional 151.00% damage to ATK. While frostbitten, the target’s weapon charge rate will be reduced in half.

Frost Resonance: The player needs to equip 2 or more Frost weapons to increase their Frost ATK by 20% and Frost Resistance by 40%.

Weapon Abilities

  • Flowing Springs: While the user is on the ground, use the Flowing Spring to perform 5 attacks.
  • Heavenbreak Waterfall: While the user is in the air, use the basic attack to make 5 consecutive attacks.
  • Frostfall: Hold the basic attack while climbing and doing a reverse jumping attack or using a jetpack to attack while in the air.
  • Surging Heart Style – Vortex: While the user is using normal attacks, hold the normal attack button. Dash forward then spin to perform multi-stage attacks.
  • Calm Style – Broken Spring: The player must long press the attack button to keep the momentum.
