The next entry in The Witcher series was recently announced by CD Projekt Red, with it being the first new game in the franchise for seven years following the release of 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt helped put the franchise on the map from a mainstream standpoint, with the game selling over 30 million copies, and Netflix’s The Witcher show became one of the most-watched shows in the history of the streaming platform.

When the next entry in the series was announced, which appears to be a soft reboot, it was also revealed that CD Projekt Red had teamed up with Epic Games as part of a multi-year strategic partnership, which will see The Witcher developed on Unreal Engine 5 as opposed to CD Projekt Red’s own REDengine, as well as the possibility that it may become exclusive to the Epic Games Store alongside GOG, meaning it won’t release on Steam.

With CD Projekt Red partnering with Epic Games, it does open up the possibility that a collaboration between Fortnite and The Witcher could happen, and it would be surprising if it didn’t.

At this point, Fortnite has become a giant advertisement for other IPs, with Epic Games collaborating with many video games, movies, TV shows, and celebrities. One of the most notable collaborations is their long-standing relationship with Marvel, which has brought Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, and Prowler to the game in recent months.

With Geralt’s story ending in The Witcher 3, it would make sense for Epic Games to release a Fortnite skin of whoever the main character will be in the new game, but with him being such an iconic figure it is possible that we would also see Geralt come to the game.

As of right now, no release date for the new game has been given, nor an announcement regarding a Fortnite collaboration. But, with Epic Games’ history of collaborations and their partnership with CD Projekt Red, it’s a matter of when it happens rather than if it happens.
