Sony PlayStation State of Play June 2022: How to watch and start time

The next Sony State of Play event is almost here and will certainly give players an insight as to what to expect from both the console and many top game studios in the coming months and years.

In the past, the event has been used to announce major blockbuster titles such as Final Fantasy XVI, as well as showcase many top upcoming indie titles.

This event will focus on the PS5 and PSVR2 and will give players a sneak peek at some of the upcoming games that will be released on both the PS5 and PSVR2 by both Sony themselves and top third-party developers.

How to watch the State of Play event

The State of Play event will take place later today, Thursday, June 2nd, at 3 pm PDT/6 pm EST/11 pm BST on Sony’s official Twitch and YouTube channels.

What to expect from the State of Play event

Sony has kept its card close to its chest when it comes to what we can expect from the State of Play event, but that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from churning and we have some possibilities that we could see.

God of War: Ragnarok is perhaps Sony’s biggest upcoming release so more details on this, perhaps even a release date, would be welcomed by fans.

Many gamers are hoping to see more information on Final Fantasy XVI. During a previous State of Play event, we saw the official reveal of the game but since then there has been no more information given.

Finally, it was announced last year during a State of Play event that Resident Evil Village would be receiving DLC, but since then Capcom has been silent. This event today would mark the perfect opportunity to finally shed light on its plans. A Resident Evil 4 Remake announcement also wouldn’t go a miss, just saying.
