The ESA’s E3 2021 is done and dusted now and we’ve heard from Xbox, Bethesda, WB Games, Nintendo, Capcom… Everyone except Sony. We know Sony aren’t fans of The ESA and E3, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t expecting news from them. The next Sony PlayStation Event looks like it’s been leaked online and we know a little bit about what’s coming and when it’s due to take place.

When Is The Next Sony PlayStation Event?

According to leaks, it looks like the next PlayStation Event from Sony is coming on July 8th. This seems a little early though and a number of leaks attribute this date to the announcement of the next PlayStation Event from Sony as opposed to the actual event itself.

Whatever the situation, it looks like Sony are going to be announcing something on July 8th. The most recent leak, which suggests that this is going to be the actual PlayStation presentation is discussing news on an expansion for Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima.

In the leak, they suggest that PlayStation are going to reveal more about the Ghost of Tsushima expansion and next-generation release at the Sony Experience on July 8th. The information has been leaked by JeuxVideo.com, one of France’s biggest video gaming sites.

Take this all with a pinch of salt, but it could be the case. Sony doesn’t always give us too much notice before these events take place…

God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and More

In any case, there’s a lot to talk about at the next PlayStation Event from Sony. The sequel to Santa Monica Studios’ God of War has been a major talking point amongst fans and we know that it’s been pushed back until 2022 at the earliest. We haven’t seen much about it at all though and PlayStation players are hoping for some bit of news about the upcoming sequel.

In addition to this, everyone is hoping for a next-gen native release for Ghost of Tsushima. It’s an exceptional game and one of the best PlayStation exclusives ever developed. There are rumours of a sequel and/or expansion, too… But, with the current trend of PS5 remasters, we’re expecting Sucker Punch to pop up sooner or later with news on Jin Sakai’s story.

Of course, there’s a lot more news we’re still missing about already-announced titles. We still don’t have a release date for Horizon: Forbidden West. We don’t know when the next Gran Turismo is coming out. We also know that Naughty Dog is working on a new project and Days Gone developers Bend Studios are developing a new IP. There’s a lot of PlayStation news out there and it’s just a matter of time until we find out what’s going on.
