Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem announced, release date and trailer
A new Serious Sam, Siberian Mayhem has just been announced, and with a release date of January 25th, this is quite the surprise announcement.
Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem release date
A new Serious Sam game, with the subtitle Siberian Mayhem, will be launching on Steam on the 25th of January – that’s right, barely over 2 weeks until it’s launching, Croteam really have dropped a – if you’ll forgive the pun – serious bomb on us this time.
The trailer can be found on the Devolver Digital Youtube and is linked directly below.
Serious Sam Siberian Mayhem is described by a Steam news post as a standalone expansion to Serious Sam 4, which is intended to be equally suitable for people who both have or have not played Serious Sam 4.
Croteam also gives credit in that news post to Timelock Studio, which is a group of individuals described as the most talented people in the Serious Sam modding community – It’s nice to see a studio giving their modding community some credit, even more so when they get to work on the actual games.
For those unfamiliar with the Serious Sam series, the Steam tags list it as an Action-Adventure 3d Shooter. It’s also well known as a fairly chaotic first-person shooter series.
If you’re considering getting the game, be aware that you can expect frequent violence, blood and gore alongside mature language, appearing in both gameplay and cutscenes.
With all of that said, that’s about everything there is to this story for now, it’s a bit of a surprise announcement in terms of how fast this is following on from the previous game, though given its a standalone expansion to Serious Sam 4, that is perhaps less surprising than it otherwise would be.
