Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - Your Own Story

Announced in early 2022 and released in November of the same year, fans of the Pokémon franchise were thrilled to embark on a new journey in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, where new species of pocket monsters in the Paldea region await.

The newest additions to the mainline franchise are the first open-world games, as players do not have to follow a linear plotline. Instead, players can explore the game environment as they please, making it an entirely different experience from the previous titles.

However, while the games sold over 10 million copies in their first three days, trainers all over the globe have encountered not only exciting new Pokémon species but also frustrating glitches and bugs that are as plain as day. It’s certainly a different experience, but for the wrong reasons!

Content creator shares Pokémon Scarlet/Violet glitch experience

Pokémon content creator @GlitchxCity took to Twitter their fair share of these glitch experiences. In a recent video, the creator shows how they can significantly affect one’s gaming experience.

The particular video shows a trainer running away from an encounter with a wild Salandit, only to be attacked by a Bagon immediately after. This new encounter with Bagon forces the trainer to be on the cliff’s edge, and when they try to exit the battle again, the trainer is dropped off to the cliffside.

This glitch experience shows that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet do not give players at least one second of battle immunity after an encounter, which can be frustrating while exploring the wild.

One user with the Twitter handle @IosLocarth replied to the tweet, saying, “I want them to patch in some encounter immunity after a battle cause this sh*t is so annoying.”

This is just one of the countless glitch experiences that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet encounter every time they play. It has been almost two months since the games were released; however, most of the games’ glitches are yet to be addressed.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the first open-world RPGs in the Pokémon franchise. Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, the games were released on November 18, 2022, and are available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
