PlayStation Showcase: All of the latest news, announcements, and trailers
It is that time of year again when we get to find out about all of the upcoming games we can look forward to over the coming months and years. Sadly, with E3 being canceled it is up to the publishers to host their own events, but Sony has no problem with that as its PlayStation Showcase events are always a highlight of the gaming year.
This time is no different as Sony is hosting a presentation that is over an hour long, which means we can expect to see many announcements from both Sony and third-party publishers that will use the platform to showcase its newest upcoming releases.
Here is everything that happened at the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase.

The biggest announcement of the show was confirmation that a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is in the works, titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
The trailer didn’t show any gameplay footage or give us a release date for the game, but it has been confirmed by Konami that the original voice cast will be returning which means David Hayter is voicing Snake again!
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1 Announced
The problem with many classic games is that they become unable to be played on modern systems, and the original Metal Gear Solid games suffer from this.
Although Metal Gear Solid did get released on GOG, the second and third entries haven’t been available since the HD Collection on the PS3/Xbox 360.
Konami has announced the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1, which will feature Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3.
It is worth noting that Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 are the HD Collection ports, but it is great to see all of them bundled together for the first time, and it will be available on all modern platforms.
With it being Volume 1 we can assume a second collection will be released eventually, potentially bringing Metal Gear Solid 4 to modern platforms for the first time.
