Overwatch 2021 Lunar New Year Event Gives Us The Best Skin Yet

It’s that time of the year again! The Overwatch Lunar New Year Event has started and it is giving us the best skin yet!

This event brings us another season of Competitive Capture the Flag and a brand new Arcade Mode, Bounty Hunter.

However, we’re also getting a new batch of themed skins! These are always the “talk of the town” in the Overwatch Community and this year is no different.

Overwatch Lunar New Year Event Details

Bounty Hunter Arcade Mode

This new Arcade Mode is one that puts the deadliest player in the hot seat.

When a player gets the first kill, they become the “Target” and everyone else is a “Bounty Hunter”.

When someone kills a “Target”, they become the new “Target”. You also only get points when you claim a bounty, so… It’s a kill-and-be-killed game.

Unlike some of the other Arcade Mode playlists, Bounty Hunter is apparently here to stay and will remain in rotation after the end of the Lunar New Year Event.

New Lunar New Year Skins

This is every Overwatch Event’s biggest pulling point. The cosmetics.

This year’s Lunar New Years Event is no different and we’ve been given the best skin yet!

Tiger Huntress Ashe ( Legendary ) – 3000 Credits

Kkachi Echo ( Legendary ) – 3000 Credits

Dragonfire Bastion ( Legendary ) – 3000 Credits

Pale Serpent Widowmaker ( Legendary ) – 3000 Credits

Bull Demon Orisa ( Legendary ) – 3000 Credits

This year, we get eight new skins and they’re some of the best ones yet!

Lunar New Year Weekly Challenge Skins

Like a lot of the recent Overwatch events, this year there will be a series of weekly challenges with a series of cosmetic prizes.

Each week, three wins will get you an Icon, six wins will get you a themed spray, and nine wins will get you an Epic Skin.

The Overwatch Lunar New Year Event is running from February 4th to February 25th.

In addition to these skins, all the previous Lunar New Year Event cosmetics are available at a reduced rate.
