Last Updated on: 2nd June 2021, 06:00 pm

If you were expecting to see Nintendo unveil the Switch Pro at E3 2021, think again. Nintendo has confirmed their plans for The ESA’s event and it looks like there will specifically no mention of new hardware.

Nintendo has confirmed their E3 2021 plans, so grab your calenders! It’s going to be a whopping FOUR HOURS of content that should include quite a few new announcements and First Looks. We can’t wait to see what Nintendo has in store, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing the Nintendo Switch Pro at E3 2021…

Nintendo @ E3 2021 – The Details

As you might imagine, we don’t actually know what Nintendo are going to show us at E3 2021 just yet. That would spoil all the fun, right?

All we know is that Nintendo is going to be broadcasting a Nintendo Direct presentation and a Nintendo Treehouse Live on June 15th at 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 BST.

The Nintendo Direct is due to last roughly 40 minutes and will focus exclusively on Nintendo Switch software, most of which will be releasing throughout the latter half of 2021. This could mean we’re getting a Breath of the Wild 2 release date, news on a new Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games title, and maybe even another Mario sports title!

It does mean, however, that we probably won’t get to see the long-rumoured Nintendo Switch Pro. There are still conversations that it might be appearing before E3 2021, but that seems a little rash. The Nintendo Switch still sells pretty well, after all!

Following the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo is going to be hosting a Nintendo Treehouse Live which will last for about three hours. This is going to feature a series of deep dives on upcoming Nintendo Switch games with gameplay and commentary from Nintendo developers and guest streamers.
