It has been confirmed that Nintendo will do another Nintendo Direct presentation this month. Should we hold out Breath of the Wild 2?

A recent tweet from the Nintendo of America‘s official account teased their fans with a live stream that would feature their games launching this winter. The post indicated that the presentation would be for around 40 minutes. Minutes after it was posted, speculations started to arise. There were rumors of a new Metroid coming out. Some speculations talked about a new Zelda spin-off. There are also talks about a new Mario installment, making full use of the movie that will feature Chris Pratt as the jumping plumber.

One of the biggest rumors surrounding this upcoming Nintendo Direct is the reveal of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Twilight Princess HD that could be coming to the Nintendo Switch, as well as a Metroid Prime remaster.

More titles would likely appear in the presentation. We went through multiple social medial platforms and checked leaks and rumors. Here’s what we found:

Bayonetta 3 and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Two of the most successful names confirmed to launch in the final quarter of this year are Bayonetta 3 and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. There have been previous posts from Nintendo about both games being released. We can expect both games to appear in the Nintendo Direct live stream.

If you’re looking for a teaser, you can check out the video posted by Nintendo on their official Youtube account. It features brief game cinematics that seamlessly transitions to the actual gameplay. Cereza will continue to play as the protagonist of the game. It will continue to revolve around the war of the Umbra witches against the Lumen sages. A plot twist seems to hint that the gun-slinging dominatrix may be against something that is neither angel nor devil. The game is set to release as a Nintendo Switch exclusive on October 28, 2022.

Just so we’re all on the same page, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will feature new Gen 9 Pokemon. The official Pokemon Youtube channel posted a teaser in February of this year. This gave us a glimpse of what to expect from the game. This time, expect a more immersive open world; the game allows players to take on the gym leaders in a non-linear pattern. There will also be exclusives, depending on what version you purchase. The games are set to release on November 18, 2022, as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

Advance Wars gets delayed while UK will not livestream Nintendo Direct

Nintendo continues to pay respect to the war in Ukraine. Advance Wars was originally supposed to be released back in December 2021. However, Nintendo decided to delay it to April. Nintendo of America then tweeted the following back in March of this year.

“In light of recent world events, we have made the decision to delay Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, which was originally scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch on April 8th. Please stay tuned for updates on a new release date.”

Another world event that will affect the Nintendo Direct presentation is related to their UK players. The live stream is intended to be broadcasted globally. However, Nintendo will pay respect to the Queen’s passing and has decided not to include the UK among those where the lives stream would be available. Instead, it will be published as a video at 8 a.m. PT.
