Video confirms Nina Williams’ return to Tekken 8

The trailer posted on Bandai Namco Entertainment’s YouTube channel shows the “Silent Assassin” in an outfit that fans have never seen before. Typically wearing a body suit, it can be recalled that Nina wore a wedding dress in Tekken 7.

However, the trailer shows that Nina Williams is no longer wearing this wedding dress and is seen in a purple dress underneath a leather jacket. She is also rocking a new hairstyle that appears to be a medium bob, which is entirely different from her usual long ponytailed hair. And to complete the killer look—literally and figuratively, Nina is now wearing sunglasses!

While Nina’s new look is a breath of fresh air, the trailer also shows some new moves that feature her pistols, including what is apparently a new string and a new Rage Art! In fact, another video was made to compare Nina’s moves in Tekken 7 and the upcoming Tekken 8.

Video Compares Nina Williams in Tekken 7 and Tekken 8

A new video posted by YellowMotion compares Tekken 8‘s Nina Williams with her Tekken 7 counterpart. These include the assassin’s Rage Art and her intro and outro dialogues.

Except for Nina’s outfit, her intro and outro from Tekken 7 and Tekken 8 have similar dialogue and animation. In her intro, she rushes to the battleground and asks her opponent, “Going somewhere?” On the other hand, the winning outro shows Nina stepping on her opponent and asking them, “Isn’t it past your bedtime?”

However, an interesting change was made to her Rage Art. In both versions, Nina starts off with a low chop and rushes on top of the enemy. However, while Tekken 7‘s Nina climbs on top of the opponent to grapple them, the Tekken 8 counterpart uses the opponent’s body to spring herself into midair and shoot her pistols.
