One of the most hyped MMORPGs in 2021, New World has been delayed once more. The announcement was made by the game’s official page on Twitter earlier today.

This is not the first time the game has been delayed. Initially scheduled to be released back in May 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic greatly affected the game’s production, and it was set to be released in August during the same year. Later it was delayed to the first half of 2021, and then, August 2021.

Now, New World has been delayed (hopefully) for the last time, and it’s set to be released on September 28, 2021.

The announcement states that the developers will focus on fixing some of the problems people found while playing the game. This situation resembles the infamous Cyberpunk 2077 incident, but we can only hope that Amazon can deliver us a complete game with the least amount of bugs possible.

The game’s Closed Beta, which ended recently on August 2, brought more than a million players to the game, making New World quite famous in the last few weeks. According to Twitch Charts, it quickly became the 10th most watched game on the platform, reaching a peak of 731,445 concurrent viewers.

Aside from the enormous queue times, taking up to dozens of hours just to be able to enter the game, New World also became infamous for killing some high-end graphic cards such as RTX 3090. But the problem was quickly addressed by Amazon, and the reports from people having their GPUs bricked have seemingly diminished.

New World is being released for PCs on September 28, and there are currently no plans for console releases. The game is being produced by Amazon Game Studios.
