As we said above, the trailer presents a new city and the playable characters, Dohalim il Quaras, which will use a long stick in battle and, for the looks of it, will allow for a more mobile and fast-paced playstyle, and Kisara, current Captain of the Elde Menancia Guard, which will wield a shield in battle and looks to be a pretty balanced character.

But that’s not all, since the trailer also revealed a first look at one of the game’s villains.

Dohalim ans Kisara join the already announced playable roster of Alphen, Shionne, Rinwell, and Law.

In Tales of Arise, players will follow the journey of Alphen and Shionne, the game’s protagonists, as they travel to free the planet Dahna and its people, as well as change their own fate and find hope.

You can check out the game’s official description below, as its present on Bandai Namco’s official site:

”On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky, as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom.

Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a new cast of characters, updated combat, and classic Tales of gameplay mechanics, experience the next chapter in the world-famous Tale of series, Tales of Arise.”
