New Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in Development!

New rumors have been floating around about a new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game being in development, but it won’t be from EA or BioWare.

New Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic?

A brand new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game is now reportedly in development without previous Star Wars developers EA and BioWare – the studio behind the development of the original game.

This report comes directly from Star Wars insider Bespin Bulletin, who spoke about it recently on a B.O.B. The Podcast episode. In this episode, he states that this project is in development outside of EA and that “we’ll ‘never guess’ who the studio is that’s making this game.”

“I talked to a couple of people, and I also found out that Jason Schreier [Bloomberg Reporter] said that it’s not with EA, and we’ll ‘never guess’ who the studio is that’s making this game.”

While we’ve heard previous rumors about a potential reboot of the famed Star Wars series being in development with EA, it seems that is no longer the case.

Now that EA has lost its exclusivity with Disney to develop and publish Star Wars games, it seems as though the newly founded Lucasfilm Games is looking to branch out and work with more developers to expand the Star Wars games library.
