New Division Universe Game will be free-to-play

It’s a little bit massive, right? There’s been a new announcement from Ubisoft regarding Tom Clancy’s The Division and its Universe and it looks like the new Division game they’ve announced is going to be free to play, too! Here’s everything we know so far.

New Division Universe Game Announced

The Division Heartland is going to be the next installment in Ubisoft’s iconic The Division series and it’s set to expand The Division’s universe in a new and unique way.

It’s going to be a free-to-play title, unlike the other The Division titles out at the moment, so expect to see some microtransactions included. Red Storm, a key studio in the development of both The Division and The Division 2, is set to be a major developer involved so expect more of the same.

” Heartland isn’t the only new game in development.”

Oh, Corre, you cheeky so-and-so.

That’s right! The Division Heartland isn’t even the only announcement we’ve seen from Ubisoft today. The Division Mobile is also in development (although we don’t actually know anything about that just yet).

Furthermore, there’s going to be new content coming to The Division 2 in late 2021 which will ” include an entirely new game mode for The Division franchise and new methods for levelling your agents with an emphasis on increasing build variety and viability.”

There’s also an official novel coming, if you’re into reading, so it looks like it’s all going on with Tom Clancy’s The Division. Now… Time to bring back GRAW.

” This film also marks the first big step in a broader plan to expand The Division universe’s transmedia offerings. With that in mind, we’re revealing an original novel coming from our publishing partners at Aconyte. This new story is set after the events of The Division 2 and explores how the Outbreak affects different regions of the United States as agents fight to secure supply routes.”
