The hit sports game is now officially live worldwide. NBA 2K23 is welcomed with an array of hiccups, Locker Codes, and many giveaways.

NBA 2K23 is taking the gaming world by storm. It has been one of the season’s most anticipated games, boasting a fanbase of millions worldwide, with various social media platforms teeming with news, features, and exclusives for the basketball game. We will break them all down for you.

The game’s release garnered a string of controversies, from issues with Playstation 5 users whose game keeps crashing, players not getting their pre-ordered Virtual Currency (VC), to random players getting connection problems. This seems to be history repeating itself.

However, it’s not all bad news. 2K has survived this before, and it appears they are not backing down yet. Hours after the reported issues with Playstation 5 users, 2K has confirmed that they have fixed the issue and urge anyone else who may be experiencing the same concern to create a ticket to resolve their concern through their support site.

NBA 2K23 add-ons, DLC, and features

During the pre-order phase of NBA 2K23, soon-to-be players were enticed with many add-ons and DLC once the game was released. Some include customization, exclusive cosmetics, and a ton of freebies. Here are some of the add-ons, DLC, and game features that 2K promised:

  • MyCAREER – this is where you can purchase and equip accessories and other cosmetics for your players in-game. The player needs to go to the nearest subway station to buy them. You can either go to the East Mall Subway or the West Mall Subway. There are well-known brands that the player can choose from; Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, and more. There are also fictional brands where players can purchase jewelry and get tattoos.
  • MyTEAM – this feature of the game has been revamped. The most important update is that there are NO MORE CONTRACTS. This means that you can have permanent player cards without having to deal with their annoying contracts. Another feature added is the instant restart during challenges like Domination and Triple Threat. Players can now get a do-over if they feel like they won’t be able to make it mid-game.

  • The Jordan Challenge – like some of the features, this has already been released previously in NBA 2K11. However, 2K promises a more immersive gaming experience for players in NBA 2K23. The Jordan Challenge has 15 “unique” game experiences. It will follow the basketball journey of Michael Jordan from his university days until his last shot that made him a six-time NBA Champion in the Chicago Bulls.
  • MyNBA Eras – a historical narrative of the decades in the NBA world. This will put the player in the shoes of the basketball legends for the past fifty years. This feature covers four known eras: the Magic vs Bird Era, the Jordan Era, the Kobe Era, and the Modern Era. Each era will cover a certain period.

  • Xbox Series X|S – the game is set at 152 GB. That makes this game the biggest game available on the platform to date.
  • Xbox One – about 47 GB. This is similar to the Playstation 4 version.
  • Playstation 5 – a little lower than Xbox Series X|S, currently at around 142 GB. If you are using a new console, that is almost half of its available disk space.
  • PlayStation 4 – about 47 GB. This is similar to the Xbox One version.
  • Windows PC – almost 110 GB. This should not be a problem for those with more than enough space on their personal computers.
  • Nintendo Switch – around 49.5 GB. A recently purchased console only has 32 GB of storage (with only 25.9 GB usable space). You will be required to use a MicroSD card.
