MultiVersus Season 1 delayed – Rick and Morty release hits a snag
Recently released by Warner Bros on July 19, 2022, MultiVersus is a free-to-play fighting game in its Open Beta phase but is already becoming one of the most played games of recent times, with it performing incredibly well on all platforms that it has been released on so far.
The initial plan for their Season 1 release was also supposed to coincide with introducing the foul-mouthed duo – Rick and Morty. All of these events were supposed to happen this August 9th. There have not been any new updates on when they plan to move the release date of their new characters and the official kick-off for season 1.

In recent tweets from the official Twitter account of MultiVersus also confirmed that they “will be extending the Pre-Season battle pass till August 15th”.
If the developers follow their original plan, the release of Morty will be on the same day they run their first season. This will be followed by the Rick, which was supposed to be released during the course of their season premiere.
The duo is best known for their self-titled sitcom in the Adult Swim series – Rick and Morty.
Reeling in players of classics like Super Smash Bros, Brawlout, and other similar fighting games seems to be the direction Warner Bros. is taking to dominate the charts. Even its roster variation in its early stage is almost at par with those that have already made a name for this genre.

Warner Bros. Games, MultiVersus is available on PS4 and PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
