Multiversus: Monster Mash event details

The Monster Mash event of Multiversus started. A new hero in the rosters kicks off this; Stripe from Gremlins. Five more skins are coming.
The new event of Multiversus is hitting players with the addition of Stripe in the game’s hero pool. The new character was initially revealed back in August, but little details were given to players back then. Recent information confirmed that Stripe is an Assassin-type fighter. The hero also comes with an array of weapons that he uses with funky gimmicks. This includes buzz saws, an auto-aiming gun, and a board he uses to do quick attacks.
A string of new cosmetics will also be introduced in the Monster Mash event. The theme of the event is Halloween, in preparation for the upcoming month. MultiVersus‘ Monster Mash event will run from now until November 8 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

Monster Mash event brings Stripe from Gremlins
“Not everyone follows the Mogwai rules… and that’s when you get gremlins. Stripe is one of history’s most infamous “turned” Mogwai, having been the ringleader of the “Kingston Falls Christmas Terror” in 1984. Plucked from the timeline shortly before his defeat at the hands of his “father” Gizmo; this harbinger of chaos, lover of destruction, and maker of mayhem should fit in quite nicely here… if he doesn’t blow himself up first.”

The mischievous villain will be spreading chaos in the MultiVersus with a bang! Aside from the many weapons and tricks that Stripe has on his sleeve, Stripe can also attach himself to opponents in a short period. This move is similar to Gizmo but is a bit different as Stripe does this to dodge hits and cause damage of his own. Stripe can be exchanged for 2,000 Gold, one Character Ticket, or 700 Gleamium. The Combat Stripe antihero variant is available for purchase in-game as an alternative skin of Stripe. It will cost 800 Gleamium to unlock this skin of Stripe.
Below are the moveset of Stripe:
- Nasty Swipes: – Stripe attacks with a combo of claw swings and ends the barrage with a bite
- Chain(saw) Reaction: Stripe will bring out a chainsaw and will pounce forward
- Sharpshooter: Stripe will fire a homing gun with projectiles that can be used in both close combat or long-range attacks

Monster Mash event brings Halloween to Multiversus
Aside from Stripe of Gremlins, the Monster Mash event will also give a chance for players to gather multiple cosmetics during the event duration. A few of the cosmetics can be purchased through the new in-game currency called Candy. The rest of the cosmetics will need to be bought through Gleamium. This is the pre-existing in-game currency. As part of the update of MultiVersus, the Scoobtober (the annual celebration of the Scooby-Doo franchise) will also be running from October 28-30. As part of the promotion of the game event, the official Twitch account of MultiVersus will release “both full-length episodes from the Scooby-Doo television series and full-length films“. Players will also have a chance to earn exclusive Twitch Drops and cosmetics rewards by tuning in to their Twitch channel:
- 30 minutes – 10 toasts,
- 60 minutes – Scoobtober 2022 profile icon
- 90 minutes – Pumpkin Spice ringout
- 120 minutes – Scoobtober’s Greetings banner
