These last few years have seen dozens of games be delayed for a variety of reasons, but with many being due to the global lockdowns and remote working during 2020 and 2021.

Games such as Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, God of War Ragnarok, and many others have been delayed during these times, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns is the latest game to have its release date pushed back once again.

Here is what we know about the recent Midnight Suns delay.

A recent tweet from the official account of Marvel’s Midnight Suns confirmed that the developers have decided to push back the game’s release date. This was after the deliberation of the team that had the best interest of the players in mind, as mentioned in the tweet “…we’ve made the decision to move back the launch timing of Marvel’s Midnight Suns to ensure we are delivering the best possible experience for our fans.”

The announcement also confirmed a new possible release date later this fiscal year (possibly until March 2023). Marvel and Firaxis also made bold claims that Marvel’s Midnight Suns “is easily the biggest game we’ve ever made,” possibly hoping to appease the public with their second decision to move the game’s release date.

A-list superheroes and supernatural warriors on “Darkness Falls”

Marvel’s Midnight Suns was initially slated to be released in March 2022. However, the initial delay mentioned that it had to be pushed to October of 2022 instead.

According to the website of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the game focuses on Lilith, Mother Of Demons, subduing Venom and ultimately corrupting him to serve her. Lilith brings together a horde of demons and bands with the powerful antagonist group, Hydra, as they aim to bring the dark side of Marvel.

The game is set to bring an unlikely group of seasoned superheroes like Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Wolverine together with a team of supernatural warriors like Blade and Ghost Rider. Their roster of superpowered heroes also includes Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff), Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), and Captain America (Steve Rogers). All of them will team up to bring down Lilith and Hydra to bring back light as “Darkness Falls.”
