Unfortunately, TT Games put an end to the speculations and inquiries about the game having an online multiplayer or co-op mode by tweeting

“LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sage has local co-op, not online.”

As expected, fans expressed their disappointment and requested that TT Games put online multiplayer or co-op mode into consideration in the future.

One Twitter user said

“Its 2022 and yall can’t have online coop? Please consider adding this in the future.”

Another user said

“I’m not purchasing for just this reason. I don’t want to play it by myself, but everyone I played with growing up live 3+ hours away now.”

Right now, TT Games has not released any statement regarding adding multiplayer or co-op in the future, but the fans’ common voice gives them hope that TT Games would someday give in to their request.

Moreover, another speculation that fans wanted to clarify was about the game not having character customization to which TT Games responded

“Yes, this is true, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will not include character customisation, but you will have over 300 characters to choose from.”

The LEGO games have been around since 1995. Following the release of Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, Giant merged with Traveller’s Tales to form TT Games which was later acquired by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE) in November 2007.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release on multiple platforms such as PC, Xbox One and Series S/X, Playstation 4/5, on April 5, 2022.
