Persona 5 Strikers has finally made its way to the West after a full year of waiting and fans have been eager to try out the game. Some, however, wonder if there is a demo to try out this series spin-off, as the core gameplay is very different from the original Persona 5. I’ve got you covered for any Persona 5 Strikers Demo questions you may have.

First of all, is there a demo for P5S? Well, yes and no. If you were lucky enough to be in Japan prior to the game’s release there, there would in fact be a demo for you to try out. Seemingly it did about as any good demo should, though nothing spectacular either.

Unfortunately, Atlus announced that there are no plans to release the Persona 5 Strikers Demo in the West. This is surely a blow to many fans who are more rooted in the JRPG genre who wouldn’t feel comfortable jumping right into a different genre for a spin-off.

There is some good news, however. For one, I can say with a high degree of confidence due to some of the homies I’ve mentioned in a prior article, that if you liked Persona 5, you’ll probably enjoy Strikers regardless. I’ve heard mention that at times people had hoped it’d be a JRPG, but that the game was still a consistent blast from beginning to end that would please fans of the Persona series thoroughly.

Additionally, if you’re a real stickler for needing a demo, any Musou game demo available would give you a pretty good idea of what you’re getting into. One example is Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which conveniently DOES have a demo available. If you find yourself enjoying the hack and slash nature of the demo, or even the look of it assuming you don’t have a Switch, its safe to say you’d enjoy Persona 5 Strikers.

In an absolute worst case scenario, you could always wait a bit for either the game’s price to lower or for a notable sale. Even by my standards, $60 tends to be a bit on the hefty side for Musou games, though Persona 5 Strikers does seem to defy the normal conventions of the genre. If you can wait for a sale or price drop, it may be worth it assuming you can’t find an applicable demo to try out.

If you’re the type of fan who NEEDS this content RIGHT NOW, well, you probably don’t need a demo to convince you to try out Persona 5 Strikers, so go wild really. Fans and critics alike seem to be eating up the game and praising it extensively.

To sum up, its a shame to say there isn’t a Persona 5 Strikers Demo out in the West, but you do have options to scout out your enjoyment of the game, so be sure to use them!
