Among Us is an online multiplayer game that blew up in popularity during the coronavirus-induced lockdown. The game quickly became the go-to choice for many online gamers and their friends and family, bringing people together in a world where you need to have your quick wit put to good use.

Initially released just for mobile- Among Us was then released for PC users via Steam. In late 2020, the game became available on Nintendo Switch and Xbox Game Pass for PC. After launching on both Xbox and Playstation, Among Us has recently migrated to the world of VR too!

But is it free to play on Console, let’s find out!

Among Us: What’s the hype?

Traverse through space and attempt to hold your spaceship together alongside your other crewmates, but beware – there could be Impostors on board. Or maybe… you’re the Impostor?!

Full of colorful cosmetics, and the ability to work as a team to work out who is on a mission to destroy everyone (or work in a stealthy way to destroy everyone), this game is full of fun, tasks to complete, and of course, the feeling of Victory when you are disguised as the imposter and manage to fool everyone!

Is Among Us Free On Console?

Unfortunately not.

Mobile players can still download and play for free on Apple and Android Mobile devices.

However, the game is not available for free on consoles at present, retailing at $5 on Nintendo Switch and PC. On top of that, Playstation users will also have to pay to download Among Us, currently retailing at $3.29. Xbox Users can download Among Us for $3.99.
