The Halo Infinite campaign is right around the corner, with the full game launching on December 8th. This comes after Microsoft launched the multiplayer aspect of the game early to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Xbox brand.

So although players can jump into multiplayer right now, they still need to wait a few more weeks before jumping into what could be one of the greatest Halo campaigns of all time.

If you’re really excited for the Halo Infinite campaign and can’t wait to see what to expect then you’re in luck, the opening cutscene has been leaked online.

Halo Infinite campaign opening cutscene leaks

First leaking on Reddit, the one-minute video is said to be the opening cutscene for Halo Infinite, although this clip does have the dialogue in German.

What is interesting is that the opening shot of the cutscene bears a striking resemblance to the ending of Halo 5, which could indicate a continuation from the previous entry in the series.

The cutscene sees Master Chief fight Atriox and, as u/ChiralCrystal points out, “Chief got CLAPPED.”

Following a disappointing gameplay reveal in 2020, Microsoft and 343 Industries went back to the drawing board and decided to delay the game by over a year to improve the quality, Halo Infinite was originally due to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X|S on November 10, 2020.

After spending some time with the multiplayer portion of Halo Infinite, and seeing the quality of the opening cutscene, it was definitely the right move and Halo Infinite looks more in line with what fans of the series expected from the first next-generation entry.

But, Craig will always have a special place in our hearts.

Halo Infinite multiplayer is available now and the campaign will launch on December 8 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows Store and Steam. The game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass across all platforms.
